GVOM Pty Ltd, trading as Creative Kubo ("we," "our," or "us"), operates The Content Room, a content co-working membership. We're committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.
By using our website, joining The Content Room, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect
We only collect what we need to run the membership and deliver the Services properly.
Personal information
- Name, email address, and contact details
- Business information (business name, role, industry or content type)
- Membership activity, including sprint bookings and attendance
- Content you share within the community, including posts, comments, and wins
Payment information
- Billing details processed via our payment provider, Stripe
- We do not store full credit card details ourselves
Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser type, and device information
- Site interactions, cookies, and basic analytics from our website and community platform
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal information to:
- create and manage your membership;
- process bookings for content sprints and community sessions;
- process billing, payments, refunds, and cancellations;
- send onboarding, session, and community communications;
- improve the Services and how sessions run; and
- meet our legal and tax obligations.
Legal bases for processing
- Performance of a contract (delivering your membership)
- Legitimate interests (running and improving the community)
- Consent (marketing communications and any Meta advertising audiences, see Section 4)
- Legal obligation (tax and financial record-keeping)
4. How We Share Your Data
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We share limited data with:
- Skool, our community hosting platform
- Acuity or Calendly or Go High Level Scheduling, for booking and managing sprint attendance
- Google Meet or Zoom, for session delivery
- Stripe, for payment processing
- Zapier and Airtable, for internal automation and reporting between the above
- Our email service provider, for onboarding and community emails
- Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law
Advertising audiences: From time to time, we may upload member contact information (such as email addresses) to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to create custom or lookalike advertising audiences. We only do this where we have a proper basis to do so, and we review this against Meta's own terms and applicable privacy law before any upload. If you'd prefer your information not be used this way, contact us at thecontentroom@creativekubo.com and we'll exclude you.
All third parties we share data with are required to handle it securely and only for the purposes we've engaged them for.
5. International Data Transfers
Several of our service providers, including Stripe, Skool, Zapier, Airtable, and Meta, are based or operate servers outside Australia, primarily in the United States. This means your data may be stored or processed overseas.
Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a comparable standard of protection, consistent with our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to:
- provide your membership and related services;
- meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (generally up to seven years for financial records in Australia); and
- resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or outdated information;
- request deletion of your information, subject to our legal retention obligations;
- object to certain uses of your information;
- withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time; and
- lodge a complaint about how we've handled your information.

If you're joining us from outside Australia, we'll do our best to honour equivalent rights available to you under your local law.
8. Marketing and Communications
We send emails about your membership, upcoming sprints, community sessions, and occasionally, relevant offers.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email, or by contacting us directly. Transactional emails relating to your active membership (booking confirmations, billing notices) will continue regardless, as these aren't marketing communications.
We don't send marketing messages without a proper basis to do so.
9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website and community platform use cookies and basic analytics to:
- keep the site and community functioning properly;
- understand how members use the Services; and
- measure engagement so we can improve the format.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how well parts of the website function.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information, including:
- encrypted data storage and transmission where offered by our platform providers;
- secure hosting environments through reputable third-party services; and
- access controls limiting who on our team can view member information.
No system is completely secure, and we continually review our practices to keep your information safe.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website and community may contain links to other sites. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing any personal information with them.
12. Children's Privacy
The Content Room is intended for members aged 18 and over, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we've done so, we'll delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
